Sales Training: Integrity in Selling

Integrity and character go hand and hand in selling and in life. There is a troubling trend flowing through our country. That trend is the idea that character isn’t important. People have begun to believe that what they do in their personal life doesn’t affect their professional sales life. Nothing can be further from the truth. If a man would abuse or lie to his wife and family then wouldn’t he be willing to lie to a prospect in order to close a sale?

Our character is important. It does mean something. Who we are goes with us no matter where we are.

An 1800’s French statesman by the name of Alexander de Tocqueville made a study of American democracy. He wanted to discover what made America so special. This is what he found out as he so eloquently wrote in his piece titled “The Greatness of America.” Click here to read more
